What is on my easel?

Just an hour or so ago, I finished another painting and will be send to The Netherlands next week where it becomes part of a private collection.

It is painted on (non-streched) canvas with acrylics and its size is 33" x 32".

Anybody who knows me a little, knows that my pictures of my work are not the best and yet again I manage to NOT capture the true colors.

The following detail of the painting gives a better idea about the colors.

I named the painting: "OWL"

Your work is so wonderful it gives me chills:) Hey, why didn't you name the picture squirrel? LOL

Holland said...

Annie: Good question, I guess I didn't imagine that anybody saw the squirrel at the tree around the corner...lol

I love the Owl's eyes!

It's very hard to photograph artwork I think. It takes a great deal of tweaking in photoshop just to look anything like the original piece or work.

Saying that, it looks wonderful to me!

I REALLY love this picture ! Full of emotion ! You rocked this one !

Holland said...

Lynn: Thank you

LLCJ: I do not have photoshop. That might explain the lack of tweaking..lol

Senorita: Thank you and I hope the new owner will love it just as much.

You have captured something very deep in the Owl's Soul----You see it in his eyes! Lovely, my dear Holland, just lovely!

Naomi: Thank you so much.

The eyes have it, Chica...although the whole thing is brilliant. Nice reflections and the colors create quite a mood. I can't wait to see it up close.

Ily: Well you better get over to my place this week then, because I have to send it away soon.

I'm sure the pictures don;t do full justice to the work but to my untrained eye, they look wonderful.

Ricardo: Thank you so much and yes I rather stick with painting than photography..
