10 of 10

This weekend I worked on a little project initiated by Ily called "10 of 10".

10 bloggers send a journal to the next blogger in line and each blogger will add their art to the journal and sends it on untill each blogger receives their own journal filled with the art work of the other 9 bloggers.

Here is the front of my journal (and beware... I do not take great pictures).

I painted with acrylics on card board and glued that to the cover of the sketchbook. Not only do I have an original cover, but the cardboard makes the journal a little big stronger. I had fun with it and it was a good way for me to get into the project.

I am looking forward to all the other 9 journals I will receive, each with their own original art. And I would lie if I told you that I was not curious about my own journal...

Wow! Your cover is beautiful...and original. Reminds me of Spring. I can't wait to see more!

I really like the colours. So does this mean that the last person to add their page gets the book? I don't quite understand how it works.

Holland, I wish I hadn't looked. Yours is the first I will receive and now I've already seen it. I thought about posting my first entry but now I don't think I will. I'm going to go for the surprise element. Yours is wonderful by the way! I know it will still be a lovely piece of art work to behold.

Ily: yeap...Spring has started and also on my journal.

Serena: I hope the texture survives all the traveling. Love your work!

JJ: Each participant gets his/her own journal back in the end (incl. the contribution of your own and the others artistic contribution.)

Annie: I only showed the cover and inside is a drawing I made to start off the journey of the journal (Don't show it all at once lol)

Yea Holland! Now I'm ready for a surprise. I did not design a cover for my book so I think I will do that and maybe show it in advance since it won't make the rounds. It never occurred to me. Whew, what kind of artist am I?

I suddenly feel a little intimidated with the good art others are displaying. Yikes. You're good.

I didn't do a cover. I guess it will have to wait till October (Sheesh!) at which time I'll post it in my blog for all to see. I guess. I'm looking forward to seeing all the journals/sketchbooks. This is an exciting project.

Annie & Paul: You both thought outside the box... now your journal cannot be judged by the cover...lol

Believe you me, I am in possession of Holland's book and the photograph doesn't do the cover justice. Plus the first page of art is a genuine treat. Now I have to worry about keeping the book safe until it is placed in the next person's hands.

Annie, I know you will do a great job keeping the journal safe and even add one of your originals. Looking forward to it.
